Glossary

An aging process in which the temperature of the alloy is continually increased during the aging cycle. The temperature may be increased in steps or by any other progressive method. Compare with interrupted aging. ??PROPORTIONAL LIMIT The greatest stress that the material is capable of sustaining without a deviation from the law of proportionality of stress to strain.
